The problem you have here is that you are amplifying your own ignorance on the matter (and I mean that in its literal term).
The problem in society is that misinformation is often counted by inaccurate ‘facts’ too. It’s a death loop to the bottom. We have lost the ability to concede and learn.

Data is just numbers extracted via collection. Patterns of data deduce or create information. That is literally what Information Technology is, and AI is no different.

Interesting point. Books are brilliant in lots of ways. But not sure if there is any actual evidence that empathy is learnt rather than inborn.
