However, they do not understand the concept of the Jewish people and, in fact, are utterly opposed to such a concept since, to them, Judaism is a faith, Jews are merely adherents of that faith and nothing more. No amount of historical facts or shared ethnic traditions will convince them otherwise

They think of Judaism and Jews in the same way as they think of Methodism and Methodists, Episcopalian and Episcopalians or Catholicism and Catholics. They see only a religion which they may reject because they generally reject the validity of religion, they tolerate people who affiliate a belief
