Disappointing result and difficult to accept an inconclusive VAR decision that may go the other way in another game. Ultimately we gifted them a goal and couldn’t break down a solid defence. Kelleher 1 - Villa 0! After losing to Everton we produced 2 great away wins, so onwards we go!! UTV

I think it’s a win, win really. Financially, tactically and works on the emotions too. He was a trusted lieutenant and can adapt into the tactical demands well. I believe he wants to do well for the club and he fills a position that we were starting to look very threadbare in. Welcome back Dougie!

It really was magnificent Frankie. 2 away performances back to back in two potentially hostile environments….what do we go and do…2 clean sheets and the team show what “team work “ is. Also a master class in subs and repositioning today. Long live King Unai! Blown away by it

I’d say I agree with all of that!!! 😂 I’d go so far as to say it was a magnificent away performance! To take 3 points there and keep a clean sheet…fantastic! Absorbing pressure..fantastic! Subs….bloody marvellous!!

Frustrating but we move on. Fair play to Spurs, they’re a great business. They have the cash to splash and we don’t. I still think we will finish higher than them again and hopefully in the UCL spots. Good luck to CG, I wonder how much choice he had in that move?? Emery or Frank? 🤔

Phenomenal really isn’t it! He showed his levels in the second hejf, timing if the changes and tweaks to the system to outplay Chelsea.

I also dropped in that we only really up our tempo against better opposition. Whilst attacking, Man U might look a bit better, off the ball they’re f**king shite!

I had a Man U fan tell me Rogers won the game and got us out of a sticky situation. I politely explained they should have been 2 goals down had Maatsen and McGinn converted. I highlighted how actually we beat them in 3rd gear. Yes Rogers goals got us the win but it was Villa who beat them!

If we pick up 6 points in the next 2 away games, I’m going to have to start thinking it. If we’re in touching distance by end of Feb/early March with some added depth in January it’s on. I suspect we may fall away but we are doing well to secure our champs league spot, which is the primary aim
