I am a progressive in FL and a huge DeSantis detractor for many reasons. With that said, he’s considerably more qualified than Hegseth (almost any state governor would be). One benefit of this pick is if he took it, he would no longer be our governor. I don’t see him taking it. He loves his fiefdom.

It’s a harmful ingredient in most cases but I don’t know about banning it. Awareness and informed consumption could move the market. They use it because it is cheap. People willfully poison with alcohol and we don’t ban it. Arsenic however, we do. Standards can change through established process.
