The House voted to weaken long-standing investor protections that protect workers and retirees from being scammed out of their money.

The House Democratic caucus split three ways on the motion to table (i.e, motion to table) Al Green's resolution to impeach Trump.

140 Democrats voted against killing it.

43 Democrats joined Leadership in voting present.

These 23 voted with Republicans. Shame on them.

Thank you to the 18 Senate Democrats who voted against advancing the National Defense Authorization Act, with its bloated, unchecked military spending, lack of safeguards against Trump's warmongering, and harmful anti-trans policy riders.

A December tradition:

Congress attaching the National Defense Authorization Act to a random bill and making me really confused at first about why the nominal bill was so hotly contested

The House just voted for a bloated $900B Pentagon budget despite the fact that the Pentagon can't even pass an audit and despite the fact that Trump is getting ready for a war on Venezuela and despite the fact that so many people are about to lose health care.

Here are the 115 Dem YES votes.

And then these Democrats (again, mostly the same group) want schools to cancel cultural exchange programs to appease conspiracy-addled right-wing parents.
December 6, 2025 at 2:23 AM
These Democrats joined Republicans in pushing the racist position that every Chinese-American is an agent of the Chinese government.
December 6, 2025 at 2:22 AM
These Democrats joined Republicans in peddling a conspiracy that foreign governments are trying to corrupt America's youth through public schools and voting to make schools racially profile parents and contractors.

Great piece on the failure of centrist governments in the UK, France, and Germany to give voters anything to actually vote for and their fueling of the far-right by elevating its message, and the contrast that Spain offers.

Trump is filling his government with Nazis, consolidating authoritarian power, and eroding democracy at every chance.

And yet these 86 House Democrats voted for a right-wing messaging amendment to say that the real authoritarians are the socialists.

Pathetic.
