Breaking: DHS Secretary Kristi Noem just sent all of her employees an email, "Reshaping of the DHS Workforce," about three options for staff to leave: resignation, retirement, or buyouts.

This appears to be part of DHS's Reduction In Force plan.

More sunlight in this please. We’re in the endgame now.
CISA is bracing for major staff cuts, possibly affecting a 1/3 of the headcount, two sources tell me.

things could change, but the expectation is for employees to first receive a second "Fork in the Road" email soon. then, the agency might pursue RIFs at a later date.

The idea that CISA was ever in the "censorship" business or part of the "censorship industrial complex" was complete nonsense made up by the likes of Matt Taibbi and Michael Shellenberger, and then laundered by Jim Jordan.

CISA coordinates important sharing of info on security threats.
Finally got DHS to comment on putting election security folks on leave. Worth noting that CISA does *very* little mis/disinfo work, and none of the election security employees I know of placed on leave did, unless you count "sharing accurate information about elections" as engaging in that mission.
