It's unnerving how so many heavy users of generative AI don't grasp why it bothers people when they spew computer-generated text instead of speaking in their own voices.

Most people like other people.

Most people want conversations with people, not bots.

In Ithaca New York today, thousands came out to declare that America has no kings, and it never will.
We will not stand by silently as democracy is attacked in the USA.

It's chilling that a man who fires people for a living would compare himself to an assassin, as if that's something to be proud of.
Even worse, another human resources "leader" who claims to be "restoring the human in HR" responds to this dehumanization: "AI is the best!"
So much for human. #HR

Evidence in the argument that generative AI aligns ideologically with sociopathic behavior in professional settings: A guy calling himself "HR's version of John Wick" says that his generative AI tool "knows me better than most close friends".
Generative #AI doesn't know anything. It processes data.

When every brand pretends to have an edge, from little pastries to cold canned coffee, it's a sign that commercial culture has gone over the edge.
Your snack cakes are not from the devil. Your coffee doesn't have to be a killer.
Let's pull back and find an authentic human center.
