They auto-enroll any other meta platform to cross-post to Threads. I routinely turn it off in Instagram, but it keeps coming back on.

So, each post, makes it look like Threads is being used, with posts et al., but there's no active/real use.

At least one additional contributing factor.

I'd like to transition over to it more and more.

The self hosting is easy to get running and such, too!

Lots of resources to learn from and quickly play. The Plugin + Template marketplace isn't as robust, but it's grown over the past months.

@laurakalbag.bsky.social has done lots of template and educational work to get people up to speed, play, and experiment.

Really fantastic.

It's not a 1-to-1 transition from Figma...so I haven't tried to get anyone else into it yet as my stack's defined by clients right now.

Quite a few things that seem better/more sound than Figma. Especially how tightly it's coupled with front end web dev (flex, grid, and even grid-areas!).

It's been fun! I've been playing with it. Have had to relearn a few of my hotkeys but there are also some nice new ones (F focuses on the element, e.g. if editing a multi-part SVG, clicking the section and pressing F shows just that section).
