If someone can actually fall in love with one of these things, that tells me that what they want in a relationship is incredibly shallow - just something with no past, no thoughts, to endlessly pat them on the head and never disagree

I've noticed with these things that if you interacted with it for about 10-15 minutes, you'd be amazed at how close to real it sounds. Much longer than that, and you realize it's repeating the same empty phrases and platitudes over and over and over and over. There's just zero depth to them

I wonder how it would have reacted if told that Elon had written it

They think women are sets of dialogue trees in video games, where if they just hammer through all the options they'll eventually get to 'And then we fuck'
December 4, 2025 at 8:18 PM
That makes sense - it's the same thinking of when a woman describes what she's actually interested in in a partner and these dudes are like 'Nah Stacy lusts for Chad - it's biology'

Back when they were more particularly pick-up artists, I always thought it was weird that 'what women want' had no women involved whatsoever. Like, why wouldn't you consult... a woman??? It's like needing to fix your sink so you go ask the veterinarian

Also Kevin O'Leary is just objectively insane - why would Momdani want to hear him rave for an hour

Yeah, weird how they aren't arguing that there's biological proof for Hijras, who have existed longer than modern Europe

Ugghh. Once we get much past "We evolved to think most nutritious things taste good and most bad things to eat taste bad" I think it's pretty ridiculous to try and explain behaviors as 'ingrained'

It's like when they were threatening that there'd be taco trucks on every corner

What country has done enough wrong to deserve him

I don't think they've lost touch with anything. They're actively doing everything they can to further the goals of the people paying them. Their literal job is to be obtuse doofuses who 'just happen' to always land on conservative ideas as being most correct.

What about kikimoras in tracksuits

Or even consistently. I was googling prices for something and the 'AI Overview' said it cost $20,000. Refreshed the browser and it said $25,000. Basically any math it does is gonna work like that. Can't believe people take these things seriously

I've honestly thought of South Park as just lazy - name literally anything and its stance is "I SHIT ON IT!!!!" I've treated the creators as low-effort numpties who just run the same filter on everything. I don't think it matters to them a lot what the target is, but that's hardly a defense of them.

I don't know, there's some media where it's definitely OK to just get highlights. SNL usually has like ten funny minutes throughout an entire season. Having to sit through the entire thing just to see them would be mind-numbing

I think there's going to be a bubble burst for some social media sites because they're hiding that their 'users' are mostly bots, and the ads they sell aren't being seen by many humans anymore

If you talk to Caesar he has a really in-depth explanation of why he set up the Legion as it is and the reasoning behind everything he does. It's of course all monstrous, but it's interesting to see that there's a very coherent driving philosophy for everything.

When I was in Shanghai, it was really common in snack sections of stores with other dried fruit, and then the fruit markets carried the fresh ones.
