Well hopefully now the trajectory will be nice and smooth :)

Most seem to use a variant of the Follow Active Quads algorithm, so that would explain it! Non-quad topology should still be possible to do automatically, but it's a big entirely separate can of worms that I want to figure out

Thanks! I think Blender is largely still focusing on making the building blocks for things like the compositor and geo nodes, which is necessary and important, but it means that for a lot of tasks there is some (or a lot!) assembly required.

It is weird that the Blender version shifts more than the OG version from GitHub. Even a hue shift back can't fix it? I suppose perfectly reproducing branded colors is where the PBR Neutral transform would save the day.

Yeah, unfortunately if you're compositing in another app it's unavoidable :/

One benefit of keeping it in Blender is that you avoid the whole intermediary file format, color conversion, and compression fiasco that can drop kick quality. So many people I've talked to will save out a PNG to edit in Lightroom😭 RR is way faster and retains the full quality!

Hmm, for a laptop then maybe I'll go for portable with long battery over power and save rendering for the desktop. Thanks!

It would be! I used one in college, but that was back when Blender and Maya were both kinda glitchy on it haha

The rebrand from BM to Superhive has been in the works for a couple years now and the switch should happen soon. Hopefully all other companies / projects with Blender in their name will do likewise.
