The balance is delicate as it can risk an experience that can be defeating: the learner gave it their all, they face exhaustion, and still are not yet there.

The coaching then must not only be for the competencies or skills for improvement, but also provide the support the learner needs.

A maximizing productivity including through using tech to entirely focus on increasing output won’t be enough.

Sometimes quality inevitably takes time, slowing down, intensity of focus, an expert’s mindfulness to detail.

The home icon version is better. Doesn’t distract your eye with a separate object and is a cleaner way to do the same thing imho.

When should assessment take time? When should it not be about a speed or quantity but about what is constructed within the relationship between teacher and learner? When should it be about the qualities of human care, compassion, coaching and educational craftsmanship?

Yes tech and AI will assist with learning and be important tools.

And it is worth investing in people and their time and the teacher-trainee learning activities that are rich and built on trust, reflection, co-creation, and shared goals.
