Today, together with all @glasgowgreens.bsky.social councillors, I wrote to the Foreign Secretary demanding urgent action to secure the safe release by Israel of humanitarian responders it has illegally detained, including my constituent Saddaqat Khan.

@jonmolyneux.bsky.social was elected as the 1st ever Scottish Greens councillor for Pollokshields in 2017.

He is a fantastic asset to our party and has advocated for greener & safer neighbourhoods and campaigned to keep vital community assets open.

I'm delighted to have his support for co-leader!

The non-Green Scottish left haven't managed better than 0.9% in the Scottish elections since 2007, even after several attempts setting up new parties to try.

Why? Because there already is a party of the progressive left in Scotland, and it has councillors and MSPs across the country.

Thanks to @jonmolyneux.bsky.social for these pics of what is possibly the most northerly CoA in the city!
Jon says, "At Possil Marsh. Commemorates a meteorite strike that happened there in the 1800s. Remnants of which are now in the Hunterian." ☄️🐦🌳🔔🐟
Shallow relief carved Glasgow coat of arms on a large boulder Same large boulder but this pic also shows some carved text beside the CoA with info about the meteor

Proposing the motion, @blairanderson35.bsky.social says that the terrorists aren't those protesting what is happening in Gaza, but those perpetrating it ❌️
Quote: "Spray paint and peaceful
protest isn't terrorism. The
murder of children, the
ethnic cleansing of
Palestine, the genocide we
are seeing in Gaza- that is
terrorism. Locking up
peaceful protestors is a
pathetic attempt to cover up
the UK's complicity in
genocide.'

Thomas Kerr has more time for the TV cameras than he has for his constituents. It's time he did the job people pay him for and open his snake oil 'solutions' up to proper public scrutiny.

First we have a Point of Order from @jonmolyneux.bsky.social calling out that despite talking big online, Reform's Cllr Kerr has not contributed to any meeting for 6 months. ❌️
Quote: Thomas Kerr hasn't spoken up on behalf of his constituents in Council meetings in almost six months since joining Reform. It's not enough just to (occasionally) show up, he should also put up and do the job taxpayers pay him to do.

What a surprise.

The BBC profiling defector Reform folk - who have skud all election success - over Greens who won 8 seats in the Scottish Parliament, & dozens of Cllrs up & down the country.

Time the BBC stop acting like clickbait tabloids & actual allow represenative panels of the country.

Summer Sessions begin in Bellahouston Park today.

With TRNSMT in Glasgow Green to follow, that’s six weeks in the height of summer when parks are fenced off to the public.

Glasgow needs a purpose-built festival space like Parc del Forum in Barcelona.
