Learning how to make little cats. This one was for Halloween
Pottery update! I’ve decided to start working on potential holiday gifts.
Up first is a little house I’m making that will serve as a cone incense holder. I accidentally broke through the clay when carving a door and turned that into a happy mistake. Now there’s air flow for the smoke!

Sculpting the lid for my little ceramic dino jar. Not sure if I want to cut into the snout to make a full mouth and I think I'll carve out the eyes once it hardens a bit.
Had no idea how this would turn out when I started and I'm pretty proud of this first attempt.

I saw an Instagram video from a pottery teacher who uses pinch pots and slabs to teach her kids how to create jars and it looked like a fun method.

Second time seeing Sunset Blvd, this time w/ Mandy Gonzalez as lead instead of Nicole. Mandy's def more of an actor, you can better see the descent into madness in her body/face, while Nicole is a stronger singer but slightly less an actor.
(Mandy's also a great singer, but not at PCD levels)

I used some leftover scraps to create a little night sky scene that you could put a tea candle behind
On the left is my bisque-fired piece
On the right, I'm testing only clear-glazing the night sky, and leaving the grass and tree unglazed
Very curious to see how this turns out!

So many thoughts. The plot and music started out a little rocky, but once the teeth came out, it was a wild ride. That ending was amazing.

I'm a big fan of both these flavors in multiple formats so I was a little surprised when I wasn't as enthusiastic about the taste.

Pineapple, Yuzu Spread
I normally like pineapple, but this one has a distinctly artificial taste. I'm not sure if that's the Yuzu combining with the pineapple. It's not exactly my favorite, but the initial taste is nice.
