Haha I feel that. Every mainstream interview I do seems to start with "so how do you make beer"?

Related - when my agent pitched The Meaning of Beer out he got several responses like "we love the pitch but beer books don't sell".
There's a lot at play but that just isn't true. I think what they mean is "we can't see it hitting the bestseller list/website most read, so we won't take a punt"

What's extra odd is I have been the topic of THREE features in national papers, about my youtube channel or the recent campaign... but never been commissioned by them myself. So they see the public interest, but will only cater to it in a "hey isn't it weird that people love beer?" way.

I'd recommend The Pembury Tavern, the Sutton Arms, the Southampton Arms, the Wenlock, the Old Fountain, the Hope (Carshalton) and The Harp for great traditional cask ale

Thanks Roger! There was some decent beer available on the night, and they stock both my latest books so they are taking a real interest at least!

If you wanna pretend to be cooler, but still listen to Michael McDonald, his collab with Jacob Collier/Lawrence is the mother of all earworms.
