To the point during the writers strike CBS aired a censored version of Dexter to fill the schedule

Great interview Chris, been a fond fan of Sudas since picking up Killer 7 on GC, it was the first time (as a Nintendo exclusive player up to then) that I felt like I was playing
a game with such a distinct personality and how that can overpower potential gameplay limitations to create an experience

Game number 5; mega man 1

I’d like to think by the time I beat all of these I can stop save scumming because this was incredibly frustrating at times

After which we had a lovely dinner before watching Batman 89 in the theatre with a full orchestra, all in all a lovely Christmas present from the other half

I’m excited my non-comic reading friends will get to experience Sue and Jon outside of me sending them poorly framed panels

Next up; not my first Brubaker/Phillips or my first Criminal but probably the most easily enjoyable thing I’ve read by both of them

Third is finishing off a series I started in 2013, Ryan Kelly is one of those artists I always forget just how good he is when I see his stuff

Second comic of the year took considerably longer to read.

Given I bounced off PADs Hulk run this was a pleasant sci-fi soap opera series, that granted dropped in quality anytime PAD wasn’t writing (including unfortunately the final 2 issues)

Shame the art also took a dip when Leonardi left too

This falls under accessibility to me, (wasn’t there previously a whole fuss about being “a parent” being akin to having a disability in game design terms) and I see no problem with it

You’re a brave man Chris

I would not recommend that

Game number 4; Control

While gameplay mechanics were remarkably better than Alan Wake 1 the story felt like it had a lot of ideas but completely failed to offer any kind of tangible resolution

And like Alan Wake the last chapter felt like a hurdle to overcome more than a victory lap

3.5/5
