I might be missing something, but wouldn't being a war forged circumvent this problem? If the integrated armor feature stays the same for 2024, you could incorporate your artificer armor into your body, forgoing unarmorer defense but keeping all of your other monk abilities. Is that right?

Poeticism aside, I do think that this is true for a (small) population of our world. But I think it’s true for a larger population of the internet — people that wouldn’t torment others for enjoyment in real life, but often do it online.
