If a president wanted to make money by manipulating the stock market (and screw small investors), how would he do it other than controlling the SEC and Congress so they won’t investigate or catch him?

If the stock market crashed while Biden was President, then he went to watch a golf tournament, and claimed his strategy was "ALREADY WORKING", how would the public, press, and the Congress react? Impeached the next day?

Our country has real problems. These problems do not include Greenland, Canada, or the Panama Canal. Or the insane, distracting idea of taking over those places.
