What's killing the EV industry in the USA is that there is no charging infrastructure. My BMW IX has a range of over 300 miles but in NM there are only a handful of public charging stations so it is basically a very fast city car...what a shame.

As the primary driver, I know how to open my BMW IX doors, but my passengers are always asking where the door latch is...It's dangerous for them if there is an emergency.

My BMW IX is the same...I always have to tell passengers how to get out...it's a stupid and dangerous feature.

Until the charger network is as robust as the gas station network, EV's will be niche vehicles in the USA. My 2 year old BMW IX only has 8K miles on it because in New Mexico there are only a handful of public chargers. If I have to travel any distance I have to take my gas guzzling truck.
