Late to the party but Bengt Berg had some strong links with early British imperial conservationists in India in the 1930s, notably E. O. Shebbeare, conservator of forests in West Bengal and a pioneer of rhino conservation. The ethologist Konrad Lorenz's Nazi sympathies might be another link...
