I wonder if DOGE is getting control of the Treasury funding spigot so they can dole out the pain of what loses funding & when, as hostage taking during budget ceiling negotiations. Before the spigot was either on or off. I bet now they've figured how to shut funding to different parts/constituencies

I bet the purpose of the DOGE payroll stuff is to find out how to selectively pay federal workers, and have the pain selectively doled out. That way, during budget negotiations, Dem interests can be held hostage. The way to combat this might be to get ready with sympathetic stories of whos affected.
