Hmm a psychotherapist/counsellor who has no ability to self reflect! She should be in therapy herself, but that would involve taking responsibility for her estrangement from her child/children.

You just have to ask for an assessment. They will need to ascertain that the person needs care and what their financial situation is. There is a chance that they will request the person moves to a cheaper care home, but if it is felt it would be detrimental to move the person they won't.

Hey just seen your post, my sisters and I have been looking into care home payments for my Dad who is now in care. If the money runs out the local council have to pay (as long as the person has no assets like a house). Most of any pension will have to go towards fees, then they pay the rest.

If I were her line manager and saw that quote, I'd be very concerned about her ability to continue working as a nurse without therapy!

If you have that sort of reaction to a body, you should be in therapy, and you should seriously consider another career.
