Again, I’m worried about the future of the web ecosystem and the impact of Google’s AI-powered search.

As traffic to content providers declines, their incentives will shrink.

This de-incentivization could ultimately disrupt the entire ecosystem.

Physical health was not the only thing the COVID virus took away from us.

It turns out that the virus has been far more destructive to our lives than we imagined.

Although the story below is about America, the same seems to be true for South Korea.

It feels as if the pandemic is behind us. But we’re living in the world it made.

Are Gaming Giants Doomed?

Civ 7 looks like a disaster. FM2025 won't be released. Starfield has been forgotten. Cyberpunk.. barely survived. Diablo 4 seems to be losing ground to POE2.

A challenge in the gaming industry is that past success does not guarantee future success.

This intolerably large – larger than a computer itself – GPU makes me strongly believe that the future of gaming lies in cloud computing.

Who wants to put this monstrous machine in their houses for computing?

Google Astra + smart glasses will be definitely a killer app. LLM changed the way we retrieve knowledge from data. Smart devices will change how we query to machines.

In a democratic country, all power comes from the people. Any attempt to neutralize and oppress the people will be thwarted. And the organized power of awake citizens will always monitor, check, and punish unjust rulers.

Revisiting Clean Code—a truly great book.

But with AI assistants becoming prevalent, shouldn’t we revisit its principles?

Will its core philosophy still hold in the AI era?

LLM-powered AI agents acted like humans in Minecraft, developing in-game jobs, sharing memes, voting on tax reforms, and even spreading a religion.

While surprising, does this imply that LLMs can 'think like' humans or convincingly mimic human behavior?

I loved Twitter. I hated X (and its owner). I tried Threads and Mastodon but quit soon after. I was left wandering.

So far, #Bluesky perfectly reminds me of Twitter. I hope it will be a nice place for me to connect with people.

Although Google has been trailing behind OpenAI, I believe it might dominate the market sooner or later. With its extensive services and infrastructure, Google has the capability to integrate them seamlessly with AI.
