A ten year old mutt that I got slightly used ten years ago. AKA the demon dog.
It has been one week since my boycott of Walmart began. The company was allowing a petition gatherer to get signatures to stop boys from playing in girl's sports (what they said) or in other words more picking on Transgender folks. It's been inconvenient, but doable. Hope others join in.

No Kings in Omak, WA, population 5000. We figure about 200 people showed up. Some were here on vacation!

Why not give the National Guards a day at Disneyland? Then on to other tourist attractions. Win them over with kindness. Coffee, cookies, etc.

Around 100 (we quit counting at 90) people showed up to our protest in a small, rodeo town. That's incredible!

Noticing a heck of an increase in racist posts on facebook. To me, it's like we are taking care of the brown people, now let's go for the black people. The comments are terrible. Should one just block the sites or comment against the commenters?

Out with the Demon Dog doing dog stuff. It's difficult for her to hold still whilst out in the wild and wooly brush.

Thanksgiving 1980, fires all over SoCal. Went on the third crew out from my forest in Washington state, hoping to go to Disneyland. That didn't happen. Oh well. Had a nice view of Camp Pendleton from the top of a ridge somewhere.

Get paid to do this! Work as a timber beast--skipping around the forest with a vest full of tree marking paint, assorted tools, lunch and drinking water. I should live a very long life. www.msn.com/en-us/health...

In the world of timber cruising, that would have been a cull tree and left standing. The defect is called spiral butt/grain. I'm not sure what causes it, but since those trees weren't logged, we have more large pine standing. I'm thinking that "The Largest P Pine in Oregon" is a spiral butt tree.

My helper, as we got ready to go cut blowdown out of a trail. He was a Very Good Boy.

I'm retired now, but here is my favorite work photo. The yarder was broken down so an impromptu class in rigging stumps with twisters took place. When the large stumps are gone, smaller stumps are used and reinforced for tailholds. I was not a logger, but was The Forester.
