HYBE already proved they listen by opting out of dynamic pricing for Jin. Now we need them to complete the protection with Face Value Exchange for the 2026 tour.

So here's what we need:
🚫 No Dynamic Pricing = fair prices during the sale
✅ Require Face Value Exchange = no scalper markup after the sale

Both. Not one or the other. Both.

Face Value Exchange = what happens AFTER the sale. It's a Ticketmaster option that caps ALL resales at the original ticket price. No markup allowed. Billie Eilish, Pearl Jam, and The Cure use it. It works.

But opting out of dynamic pricing only protects the INITIAL sale. It doesn't stop what happens AFTER - when scalpers buy tickets and resell them for thousands above face value on StubHub, Vivid Seats, etc.

Dynamic Pricing = what happens DURING the sale. Ticketmaster raises prices in real-time based on demand. A $200 ticket becomes $500, then $1000+ as you're trying to check out. HYBE opted out of this for Jin's tour - that's huge and we need them to do it again.

TM is under legal in the US, I agree. As a global fandom, we're in good position to set a precedent of slicing their resale revenue (TM makes money from resales). So we win, other fandoms win, and we drive cracks in the monopoly. At least I hope. Big picture / zoom in - either way it's a good idea.

I don't think we play The Mind correctly. You can hint and make inferences about your numbers, yes? We were told you can't talk about the game at all, which makes it kinda weird.

And for the curious, games that have worked well in the past in le Harmonies, Charcuterie, Alpine Trails, Scout, Welcome To, Draftosaurus, The Crew, Cartographers.

This is on my shelf of shame. Hmmm...

So, I brought Dixit, and the Provost actually stopped by the table while we were playing. Thanks for the great suggestions and I'll line them up for the Mondays to come - board games in the cafeteria are a great way to bring faculty, staff, and students together! #boardgamesky #academicsky
