Blast from the past. Blue Hole, Dahab. This was the kettle, beautiful and less self destructive than the arch.

Kiddo surfacing as newly certified diver.

Obviously forgot to remove the red filter from the dive, as you do.

When the view above is more exciting than where you’re at.

Only had two dives with this guy. Great sites in Puerto Morelos, MX.

Left side of the brain: Don’t go in there.

Right side of the brain: What could possibly go wrong?

Are we there yet? Sometimes this is most of what you see during a dive, the silhouette of your dive buddy.

Depending on the dive, of course…

People sometimes complain about poor viz around our home “reef”. To that I say - Oh yeah? Tell that to this perfect shot I took of this magnificent seal. I didn’t even need to use dive lights.

Diving in the Irish Sea sometimes gives you the feeling you’re on a space odyssey.

Why do you like diving?

-Ah, sure look, I’m not too sure now.

Our wreck dive south east of Ibiza had a slight dystopian flair to it.

Diving in darkness and tight spaces - it’s hard to describe but it has a very calming effect.

It’s not a bathtub. It’s a divetub.

Diving a sawtooth profile can be more challenging than one would think.

It got too much for this diver we met on the dive. Thankfully she could be lifted out through an opening half way through the bat cave.

At 25-30m (80-100ft) we reached the hydrogen sulfide layer in Angelita.

You don’t want to accidentally inhale or ingest this gas/water mix.

Another fun fact - apparently it smells like rotten eggs.

The sight had quite a calming effect coming out of a cavern.

Until it dawned on us crocodiles were hiding in the midst.

The perfect spot to start a dive.

Kin Ha in Puerto Morelos. If nearby, you need to go.

Some Barbies go diving in caves, taking names and kicking crocodile ass.

A couple of shots from our “Barbie Line” dive, just north of Tulum, MX.

More freedivers observed in Maravilla.

You had to be there. Just go.

Just an ordinary day, watching mackerel pass by like time.

One of those rare moments you (want to) forget you’re on limited air supply.

Which line is ours again?

There’s something quite breathtaking watching freedivers in action. Seems so effortless. Beautiful. You lose sense of time. Transcend into their state of calm. Almost a magical experience.

Not sure they felt exactly the same about me and my gopro.
