Little #Butterfly on the stairs. Probably an Umber Skipper. #insects 🦋 #invertebrates

Two shots of the same butterfly. It’s a little under an inch and its wings are brown and rust colored.

The butterfly’s eyes are almost as big as its head and we know it’s a butterfly because they have antennas with knobs on the end and moths usually have fuzzy antennas.

I never saw Bambi. To be fair, I’ve never seen most Disney movies except Fantasia (loved it) and Mary Poppins (hated it). And the Incredibles, which wasn’t borrowed from any book I knew of and was pirated, anyway.
Disney has been paying my bills, however, since 2015, one way or another.

#Dogtober 6. Blue was my first puppy of my own. I did everything wrong but she was mostly a good girl. She was Very good on her ride from NJ to CA.

Blue at about 4 months old on my mom’s orange rug. All her paws are white, and her nose, chest and the tip of her tail. There is a black rubber ball by one of her feet.
