Not quite how I remember it. Baroness Mary Bousted was well aware of all the issues and fiercely protective of staff and pupils. She rightly predicted that chaotic, unsafe opening would lead to more closures and that staff could be lost to sickness, death or choose to leave. #CovidInquiry

People have been banging pots and pans across the world, including in Tel Aviv, in loud protest against Israel's starvation of Gaza.
Fortunately you can see the support for this online, no mention on mainstream news.

We've been checking regularly too after a hot and humid afternoon 😜 with a local weather warning out from @netweather.tv
It's slipping up the channel for now, in your direction indeed!

Hear about Covid in the past tense all the time across media commentary. Mitigations would make public spaces like hospitals safer.

Aye, a constant refrain in our media, tacked into all kinds of commentary, every single day, lest we should question whether it's ongoing.
Saw this news yesterday and we all know people succumbing to 'infections', rapidly developing cancer, or Parkinson's Disease.

A late discovery for #InsectWeek @royentsoc.bsky.social
Is this some kind of Tussock Moth larva? On a potted Walnut tree in southern UK high heat.

Hope this isn't what's left of the view!

Train to Kingswear and head on foot up Alma Steps from The Square towards Kingswear Castle and find the bench with this beautiful view, and stroll back down for lunch at The Ship. Not possible to see if there's still access on streetview, uber building work going on. Too steep and too far now.

From a regularly hot place in the south 🥵 where it was 30°C already today, for immediate help, paper sunny windows that have no coverings, hang duvet covers or towels outside windows if feasible to increase shade if south facing.
Think about planting shade in a garden to help long term.

Result. Vote taken after Palestine requested delay on point of order as voting was about to begin, before all delegates had regained their seats after being sent out for a short break. Two more minutes given to allow more to return.
UK voted in favour.

I think this was an Ashy Mining Bee seen last year.

#FoxOfTheDay @BBCSpringwatch is back this evening 💚
Rewilded gardens stay lush for longer, without pesticides or artificial fertilisers. Assuming it's all feeding itself, the mycchorizal way.

No, at least I'm sure about that. They have eight legs, questing 'arms', and not the long trailing legs. Been bitten by two or three of those, painlessly, but with Lyme outcome, and had this tiny one on my glove last week which later forced its way through a weeny seal fail in a cellophane envelope!

@britishspiders.bsky.social #bugsky I'm thinking this tiny apparent biter (painful) 🤷🏼 is not a spider, so not a tick, and not a bedbug. Aphid-like but more substantial, though body only just over 1mm. Perhaps missing some abdomen? Has it tiny or maybe broken wings? Google lens says cockroach . .

Where is it currently hot in Spain? Not seeing it. Currently hotter in Surrey at 16.45 . .

'Induced atmospheric vibration' blackout reported caused by extreme temperature variation.

Maybe burying new UK grid cables will be a better idea than more pylons, or better still, smaller, local networks.

Slow Covid brain eventually enjoying a tiny moment of levity in these vile times, after wondering why Americans could be so exercised about chips, need complex ones or bizarrely take five years to set up a factory to produce them . .

Pundits seem sure that the demand for welfare payments will continue to increase, whilst claiming not to know why they have increased since the Covid pandemic.
Stating it 'can't all be due to Long Covid' just tells us you have no idea what Long Covid does.

A lot can happen in three weeks. Thank you for your principled action Anneliese. Not sure which of the 'changes' they want make you choose to remain in the party.
