When looking at the GOTY nominees and their development teams, I just want to point out how crazy it is to just see @localthunk.bsky.social’s name up there by itself. One guy. Next to FromSoftware and Square Enix. I love Balatro and indie games so much. #TheGameAwards
Nominees for Game of the Year at the Game Awards. The nominees are Astro Bot, Balatro, Black Myth: Wukong, Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, and Metaphor: Refantazio. Each game title lists the development team and publisher underneath. Balatro’s development team is listed as “LocalThunk” who is just one person.
