When developing public transport paths in a city, the plans are inherently sexist because they favour A-to-B commuters. Women have to travel in multiple directions more often (kids, errands, medical etc). Result is that public transit works for men more than women. This also goes for bike route 1/2

Ten years ago, my now-husband was denied a vasectomy because the dr felt he was too young to make that (reversible, minimally invasive) decision. Instead I had to have a full laparoscopic surgery to (permanently, invasively) remove my tubes. I’ll never forgive our health care culture for this.

I have four of these bowls up for grabs at the Ottawa Guild of Potters sale. They’re food safe, about the right size for cereal, but I recommend them for candy. Or shells. Each is hand sculpted and hand painted with watercolour underglazes. If you don’t buy them I’m keeping them all.
