The growth becomes its own virtue. It’s a constraining if practical tool to star rate photos, but in my Lightroom i’ve got 34k photos. 2⭐️ is usable for me, 3⭐️ i’m happy to have, 4⭐️ i’m really proud of. Looking forward to making some fives. Even more to my first zine, and maybe someday a book.

Like, its in the realm of possibilities that the types of internal conflict necessary to reckon the party into a genuine force of opposition spurs national realignment along new sectional lines driving this exact crisis. But let's not pretend they're anything like up to the current task.

What was the unbridgeable barrier? Garden variety ignorance, nationalism, and western-centric hegemonic conditioning of daily reality. None of this means China is some kind of utopia, but let's not pretend people were already well versed on pretty much anything about China.
