I knit a pair of mittens in Brushtale yarn. I got it at Loopine Wool, Auckland NZealand it feels light and soft. I felt uneasy as a vegetarian about yarn made from dead possums. But I learnt that they are invasive and they destroy native wildlife and have to be controlled. #knitsky #mittens #knit

I made two Dot Dash Headbands in double knitting. I used Valley Yarns 100% baby alpaca. I used a pattern from the book Knitting from the North by Hilary Grant. It was my first time doing double knitting. They are completely reversible. #knitting #knitsky #alpacayarn

I finally finished my Le Coeur est un Oiseau sweater. I was worried it would be itchy because the yarn has 30% hemp and lots of bits sticking out. But it actually feels ok now it’s blocked. I might knit this again in a smaller size. #knitting #knitsky #showyourknit #biscotteyarn

I bought this used pattern book from Pittsburgh Center for Creative Reuse. I am knitting the Aberlady cardigan using Stylecraft Life dk. It’s a blend of wool and acrylic. The body is quite thick fabric- made by slipping stitches. #showmeyourknits #knitting #daleofnorway #knitsky
