Jimi's Star Spangled Banner is a classic track, but calling it a cover seems a stretch. Waiting to see how high these end up ranking: Cake's I Will Survive, Nirvana's The Man Who Sold the World, and UB40s Red Red Wine. And still holding out hope for Eva Cassidy's Fields of Gold.

I'm really thrilled to see the Maniacs'/Stipe "To Sir With Love" at 378! It pained me to have to leave it off my own list with a couple other favorites. So good.

As always, love the countdown. Is the methodology the same as previous years where each voter's highest choices are given progressively more weight (#1 gets 10 points, etc)? Results are surprising and I wouldn't have guessed so many Grateful Dead fans among xpn listeners.

Yeah, what could possibly go wrong with allowing small town PDs to buy military surplus? Opposing spending all that money on it has been called "soft on crime," and we couldn't have that!

I'm wondering how that's going to play out over here. After a few years of having the Secret Police abduct and deport 3000 people a day, and cutting off all assistance to the "unproductive" poor and disabled, I wonder if my countrymen will realize it didn't improve their lives.

Funny, coincidentally I just yesterday looked up the recommended age and saw it was 11-12. I'm really serious about everyone needing this vaccine. It's sad to me to think there's a vax that PREVENTS CANCER and some parents intentionally don't have their children get it.

I laughed slightly when I saw a story less than an hour ago about how juice cleanses actually "may harm your gut and increase inflammation."

I mean, two things can hold true simultaneously. I know this exists in my case. I don't want people to think "I'm one of the good ones"—I want people who look like me or not to know I'm also a safe space. I'm suspicious amidst people and knowing that someone's absolutely anti-maga is helpful.
