#EHFG2025: “We need a more sophisticated understanding of what vulnerability is. It’s a superficial approach and de facto exclude the most marginalised. In the health work from @ec.europa.eu, the groups I work with are consistently overlooked” @freekspinnewijn.bsky.social @gasteinforum.bsky.social

#EHFG2025: “Health literacy is a human rights concern. We talk about vulnerable populations, but it is in fact a great portion of the population. And if the system is not designed to listen to you or accommodate your needs, then we fail“ @kristinesorensen.bsky.social at @gasteinforum.bsky.social

#EHFG2025: “We produced a report on the role of healthcare to reduce inequalities - a tool to design more equitable healthcare policies and interventions. We strive for a system that doesn’t wait for them to come and ask for help” Cristina Modoran from @ec.europa.eu @gasteinforum.bsky.social

“Social vulnerability is not limited to marginalised groups. In fact, at least 1/4 are in such situation when they meet the healthcare system. We need to see patients as persons to give adequate solutions to improve their health” @thomasmaribo.bsky.social at #EHFG2025 @gasteinforum.bsky.social

@thomasmaribo.bsky.social at #EHFG2025: “We need socially differentiated interventions”. The social vulnerability index helps identify individuals and communities with higher risk of #social inequalities, leading to poorer #health outcomes.

#EHFG2025: “1/3 of the population reported having poor health, and the less educated have double the risk to have these outcomes” reports @carocostongs.bsky.social from @eurohealthnet.bsky.social. What can the EU institutions do to address #socialinequalities in #health? @gasteinforum.bsky.social
