Agreed. But more than the number of episodes I miss not waiting years for the next season. These days I have to rewatch entire seasons to remind myself what happened.

Agreed. It’s partly the result of the format. Having it last makes choosing singles players tempting. Put doubles first or second and they’ll always pick the specialists.
