This is the ring fort Grianan Of Aileach in Ireland.

The fort, built 1700 BC sits on a hilltop, 250m above sea level. It is built largely without mortar.

These #longexposure shots, 90-120 seconds, give a long #passageoftime feel. The wind howled as it blew, but once you were inside, it was calm.

I was in Siena, drawn in by the textures, symmetry, and the way the light pooled just inside the gate of this doorway. I’d settled on a frame, and this kid came into frame and climbed up.

I have a clean version of this too, but I keep coming back to this one. Feels more honest somehow.

This striking black-and-white photograph captures the haunting beauty of a decaying shipwreck beached on the edge of a calm inlet. The juxtaposition of the vessel against a backdrop of rolling hills, and a sky strewn with drama evokes a sense of time, solitude, and forgotten journeys.

#blueskyartshow this weekend is all about #lines. This feels like a natural pair to submit for it. Images were taken in #cinqueterre in #Italy. The first is called “Via Visconti” and the second is called “Walking into the Light”

Come Sail Away

A sailboat glides across a calm sea under a softly clouded sky. The vessel's sails are prominently displayed, capturing the breeze.
