Software engineer. Sports fan. Appreciator of the bizarre.
From the CS side we know that our current AI approaches bear no resemblance to what we know of low level brain function and "biologically plausible" alternatives don't work well (or at all).

Going with blue as the label color here is a wild choice.

The problem with DF is that for a competent player risk becomes largely optional. You mostly have to try something crazy or hyper ambitious to escape a boring steady state. The game doesn't force that upon you.

The market expecting the Steelers to be a bad offense is also notable. Is the expectation that Rodgers won't be there or that he will be there and he will suck?

Thoughts: CHI being a top 3 offense seems sus. Put Ben Johnson in Canton if that happens. NYG and WAS being terrible on their respective HC's side of the ball but great on the other is interesting. We sort of saw that with WAS last season. If the Giants O is truly that bad I doubt Daboll survives.

I would call shenanigans on C. Star Trek has made a lot of hay based on teleporter scenarios exercising cases where souls don't hold up well as a coherent concept.

Real talk: how many guests turned down doing this because they didn't want the smoke?

A question that this post raises: Should Pyrrhus have known better than to go west? Would all of these problems have been obvious to experts at the time before he invaded? I was under the impression the endeavor was regarded as highly ambitious but not totally crazy.

Devil's advocate: The entire finance industry tries to obfuscate this simple reality all the time by using annualized returns rather than CAGR to make what they're selling seem more attractive than it is. At least a little bit of this confusion was intentionally fostered.

I would be curious how this ordering changes if we looked at defeat rates (defeats/snaps). I have not looked at this personally but subjectively it feels like over time the league has been trending towards rotating front four guys in and out more to keep them fresh.

Looking at the max dollars per calorie I'm going to try to marathon apple slices. I'm seeing $1.19/pack on Grubhub and 15 calories/pack on the McDonalds web site. I only need to average 1.17 of those per minute to win. Realistically I would try to space it out in to 3 or 4 binges.

Am I crazy or does @greggrosenthal.bsky.social look like Jim Irsay's secret son in this pic?

Seems bad. How do you even monetize?

If they were to go full service academy offense with their present roster they may not win more games but they would be 10x more fun to watch.
