Sad, but true, that the numbers his administration puts out at the end of the year may in fact be, as he says, “incredible,” which the dictionary defines as “impossible, or difficult, to believe.”

There’s actually a cute way to test what the vast majority of DC residents really want, “under their breath.” It’s called elections. The people of DC didn’t vote for your approach. Just admit that the hostile show of force you’re imposing on them is what *you* want.

Political slogans aren’t programs and don’t have “merits.” They give the world a shorthand of who we are & what we want, like the title of a book or a profile cover photo. A bad slogan is easy for opponents to manipulate into a false caricature. A good one projects a deep & powerful truth

life, liberty, or property can be curtailed, precisely to prevent “mistakes” and abuse of authority. Due process protects us all from false, arbitrary, and unjust use of the government's awesome power against ordinary people.

Is this document real? It’s basically an argument against the entire American project, built on malicious lies. Garcia’s not MS13, he’s never been charged with a crime, he WON his immig case, and came here 14 yrs ago (so Biden didn’t “allow” him in). Our Constitution requires due process before

His “crime” literally is agreeing with a large percentage of American citizens, including a significant minority of US Jews www.pewresearch.org/short-reads/..., and petitioning the US government to change its policies. How can such a man be tolerated?
How Americans view Israel and the Israel-Hamas war at the start of Trump’s second term
A slight majority of Americans (54%) say the Israel-Hamas war is either very or somewhat important to them personally.

Please delete your snarling reply Rex.

Aaron spends all day every day fighting to prevent horrors like that which has been inflicted on Mahmoud Khalil, and informing the rest of us so that we can act. What is your contribution?

His arrest may have been an “administrative error,” but when due process is denied it’s inevitable that innocents will be punished. And their failure to bring him back, despite what they have done to him, is a deliberate moral outrage.

Yeah. Also they can’t vote

A mess indeed. “Making it more difficult to be granted asylum” sounds so benign. Like you just have to fill out more forms. What’s actually at issue would block most people from making their case at all if they can’t do so immediately at the border, scared & alone www.nytimes.com/2023/11/30/u...
