Anyone else feel like popups are slowly making their way back into web design? I'm not talking about cookie banners or the horrid delayed-popup. Many sites I visit these days have some sort of banner or corner-aligned popup asking to login/create an account or hosting an ad #webdev #ui

I'm already tired of seeing popup ads in paid software for their nonsense "AI helpers." Its like the new underpaid employee who was told they are taking over your job and to covertly try and figure out everything you do real quick first. #programming
