I used to be fond of telling my news team "There are no metaphors, only results." But I was wrong: There are metaphors, there are. (And results too it would seem.) @ericacbarnett.bsky.social, @Jonah Spangenthal-Lee

... And the @nytimes.com shows its willingness to continue to make a fool of itself. The FBI search doesn't "show" Trump's "willingness to..." blah blah blah. Trump is pursuing his 2020 grievances. And he's been pursuing them outright since November 2020.

You'd think they'd won a Pulitzer. You guys. Interviewing the president is what you do. It's your job. This fawning over yourselves (and the president) is not classy. Save the navel gazing for your therapist.

First tournament of the year winding down. You'll notice: No Anisimova, no Rybakina, no Andreeva in the late round. But one player always seems to be there. : )

Yesterday, I said Alex Dimitrov's Ecstasy was my favorite poetry book of 2025. That may have been a case of recency bias. Earlier in the year, there was Andrea Cohen's exceptional the Sorrow Apartments. You can read my review here www.joshfeitpoetry.com/blog/im-all-...

The leading right hand melody capitalizes on the sudden pop construction of the left hand accompaniment: A modified blues scale that stops short of reaching the traditional flatted (bluesy) VII note. That right hand? It goes all in on ascension... www.joshfeitpoetry.com/blog/im-all-...

That's called socialism. Or perhaps, National Socialism.

The irony is that I don't know a single one of my Wrapped Top 5 Songs because they all come from my "Inner Journey" sleep mix, which I put on every night before bed.

Seattle's bumping. In the last 48 hours I've been at packed coffeeshops, 2 different crowded restaurants, on packed light rail trains & buses, at 2 packed bars, and out on the jumping streets. I'm not saying this is about Katie Wilson. But she IS more of a match for what's happening in our city.
