Really terrible take. Bad. Just awful.

There’s a positive to this which is that I did not see the underlying thread which was awesome and now I’m following so fk this guy.

Yeah I don’t think this problem is with the party. The party has problems. If it gets the majority and doesn’t do substantial court reform that’s a problem. If Hakeem’s rhetoric about illegality and authoritarianism isn’t strong enough, well, we already tried that and the voters didn’t buy it.

I just think we let voters off the hook way too much when demand that politicians do what they’ve already done that didn’t necessarily work and is quite frankly simply rhetoric.

Not sure it’s that binary. No one is saying the party is perfect. But, to me at least, “ the party must fight” in strictly rhetorical terms isn’t always fair when they have and the voters decide (truthfully or not) that the price of their burrito cab is the issue when they’ve been warned.
