I’m coming up to the end of my unlimited Everyman Cinema membership, and it’s one of the best things I’ve bought.

Just being able to go to the cinema any time “for free” (already paid for) is such a treat. I’ve seen so many movies I wouldn’t have otherwise, both old and new.

Pluribus has some of the weirdest online discourse I’ve ever seen for a show.

Just bought 72 TB of hard drives! If you would have told kid me I would be doing this as a hobby I wouldn’t have believed it

The classic letterboxd experience of giving a movie 5 stars, then checking all the other reviews about how problematic it is.

I saw Wake Up Old Man, and can report the best of the cast is Josh O’Connor’s neck tattoo slightly peeking out of his Priest outfit.

Before/After for energy consumption in my home office since switching to working from my Mac instead of big gaming PC. Reduced power consumption by about 60%.

And this is with an extra monitor and thunderbolt dock, etc!

When I say Wicked part 2 is like Avengers: Endgame for gay people, I meant it in the way that it’s the only thing this three screen cinema is playing tonight.

Episode 4 of Pluribus is probably its strongest yet. Last episode I started to get a bit sick of Carol’s monotonous anger, but this episode finally got us something a lot more interesting.

I’m at 199 movies watched this year, so now I can’t watch anything until Friday to make Wicked Pt 2 my 200th :(

So I got an Apple Vision Pro last week. As expected I'm going to return it.

You already know the verdict - it's the technically best product that has no use, and it's far too expensive to warrant as an idle toy.

It's been years since I've done any destiny development, but i still get the itch to remake the Destiny Data Explorer - data.destinysets.com - be good and fast.

I can’t tell if it’s text or subtext, but the new The Running Man movie is actually a pro-union film

Turns out asking on Slack if Slack is down isn't particularly helpful...

@liss.bsky.social I trust this is all SwiftUI funkiness and not your fault - but it’s so strange that the button touch target is a different size than the the liquid glass touch target?!?

I’m pretty sure I’ve seen the inverse in other apps - where you get the liquid blob animation but no action 🥴

When I hear someone say “they don’t make original movies anymore” it’s an immediate sign they can’t form an original opinion. I’ve watched 191 films so far this year, 66 in cinema. They’re definitely making them, you’re just not watching them.

local cinema, which has only three screens, is doing EIGHT screenings of Wicked pt 2 on the saturday. insane

Found myself thinking about Tron: Ares and how stupid its core conceit is - they’ve built a more complicated 3D printer that doesn’t work.

There’s something to interrogate there about how the only costumes I’m interested in dressing up as for Halloween are women…

My favourite part of the new Frankenstein movie is when Frankenstein goes “well actually I am the monster!”

Watching House of Dynamite was weird because it reminded me so much of (much lower stakes) Incident Response Management but for devops 😭

Saw a movie at the London Film Festival that STEVEN SPIELBERG introduced, and is getting pretty much universal acclaim and I didn’t like it :(

I’m watching Boogie Nights for the first time, and oh boy is this not what I thought it was.

Alien: Earth is unlike any tv show that I’ve seen, in that every episode stands as its own mini horror movie. Delivers on the actual promise of a mini-series.
