I drove up to Cincinnati to hear her speak. Afterward she took pictures with audience members who wanted to meet her. She’d just had a fall and broken her arm, so she wasn’t able sign things. So she had an ink pad and put her thumb print on pics and posters. Still have mine. 🙂

Dr. #Goodall was a real one. Forever changing the way we look at animals by treating them as beings, not subjects. Approaching nature in a spirit of humility rather than mastery. Tirelessly advocating for a better world. I can’t think of a better legacy. RIP to one of my heroes.
