Yes the shutdown has been going on for a very long time, relatively speaking. It should've kept going. People suffered from it yet that suffering has been thrown away. People will suffer even more now, in new and worse ways, because of the concessions dems made.

A usage of the meme Straight To Jail or You Go To Jail, a memorable quote uttered by the dictator caricature Raul (played by actor Fred Armisen) on the American situational comedy TV show, Parks and Recreation. The headline text is the character saying a quote someone else who ends up in jail would say, "I was just following orders", followed by the resultant outcome of the quoted action, adapted for international crimes instead of the original context of the character's country, "Straight to Hague"
