Yeah, in 23 they were trying and failing to reset their CBT before Ohtani reached FA. Obviously that didn’t work, fucked themselves with the Bauer deal in several ways.
And 100% re: the owners. That they’ve gotten fans to conflate good for owner’s wallets with good for the game is wild af.

Used to go there in my early 20s, it’s novel, being able to get some basic chicken parm or lasagna in a drive thru. It’s not great, but it’s better than a lot of crap out there.
