Yeah. Not quite enough to catch up to the first years of 3DS or GBA (both over 4 million), but those were late February/early March launches like Switch 1.

Switch 2 also passes up the 3.4 million that Switch 1 managed from its March launch through the end of 2017.

I first read "OH-H---" as some kind of censored version of "OH HELL" rather than just a long "Ohhhhh", but seemed pretty out of character.

I'm guessing they were stuck with it due to whatever pricing standards Nintendo has in place. Like, can't change until X time or Y hours have passed, and can't go directly from one discount amount to another, since it and Witcher 3 are both back at full price for the moment.

Yep. Tried buying while the getting was good, but during checkout midnight hit and the price reverted to $70.
