In my home office, I work at a desk nestled in a library of some 6000 books, their presence reminding me of the lives and the accomplishments and the ideas of the individuals who labored to create them and who speak to me through them.

Making parathas with my two Indian friends is one of my favorite memories from PhD times. I forgot how to do them, but that's such a comfort food (when hot).

This is how free market absolutists think: we don't need state agencies to protect citizens, because they might be overly restrictive. Let the market figure it out: if something is dangerous people will figure it out with time and the good treatments will survive. Some people will not, but... yeah.

Yeah, I know that generational solidarity pension system will be dead by the time I will start my retirement, but at least give me a pretense that EU can function at least on that level.
