Literally. I’ve told people over and over that the fundamental reason Trump won in 2024 was because people were unhappy with the current situation, didn’t believe Dems would meaningfully change it, and had vague memories of things being better six years ago.

BlueSky became the leftist/progressivs/SW- and trans-friendly social media because it was about the only place that wasn’t explicitly *not* that at the time.

But that was never what its leadership wanted it to be, and in fact I’m sure that it’s something quite a few of them very much did not want
