my partner is sober (9 years!) and she once told me that many newly sober people leave town and move or travel, only to discover they want to drink there too, and that “no matter where you go you have to live with yourself”

after a day at work, even in portugal, i still want to go be alone and unseen and silent. i might not even have a good time in the moment if i go out!!

but 2 weeks later every time i went out i’m glad i did.

hi what’s it like being the sysadmin for your family? what kind of infra did you standardize on?

my dad was an EE and sysadmined our stuff growing up. mostly email, network filters, photos :).
