Got back to the kitchen, radio was at a normal volume. Minute later, the remote which i'd tossed onto the table (thinking the saga was over) suddenly came to life, & the dulcet tones of CBC's Ismaila Alfa accelerated to warp 75 on the volume level.

Got back to the kitchen, radio was at a normal volume. Minute later, the remote which i'd tossed onto the table (thinking the saga was over) suddenly came to life, & the dulcet tones of CBC's Ismaila Alfa accelerated to warp 75 on the volume level.

I run down to the garden digging thru the dense foliage, praying that the bloody remote landed white side up so it'd be easy to spot.
It didn't. I spent 15 minutes searching, giving up, searching. On bad terms w/bad neighbour so had to search Mission Impossible style.

Wed Apr 23. So there are these two baby dinosaurs nesting under the deck, and today when mum went for a cuppa, they did this little, genius, Jim Henson Muppet dance. Sort of reminded me of when fans do the wave at a sporting arena.

Two easter eggs recently hatched under our deck. Probably about the 10th year of being host to a pigeon nursery.
They still got their yellow fuzz.
Pigeons catch a lot of flack for being useless nest builders but luckily the plant detritus is pretty deep, so the eggs don't roll off the decline roof.

Lookit Toronto, spends 10s/100s of millions of dollars to retrofit subway stations w/elevators & buildings w/ramps, which is good, but for what if clear sidewalks aren't mandated/enforced? Everyday sidewalks are used for parking, construction/garbage staging, snow storage. A much bigger problem.
