Over here Rogers will occasionally completely shot the bed and be completely unable to resolve a website with a regular told ipv4 address, but anybody that has ipv6 like YouTube or Google work fine so you spend a couple of hours thinking it's just that site you like that's down and not your modem.

I died in it quite a few times before the first rework. Wish I had a clip of the time I got bounced by a frog splash into a geyser into another geyser into another frog aoe and into the drink, it was hilarious.
But they nerfed it into nothing because apparently it was still too hard for trusts.

Maybe they just didn't know what to do with him. The novels present the idea he made a good impression in the federation during negotiations on the station, but that's beta canon.
Either way maybe they didn't want to be seen throwing him back into a lab while the Federation was visiting.

I feel like Neccesary Evil covers a lot of this

I think Riggs even mentions in the book that he's conscious of these accounts being somewhat damning because he couldn't get Williams to interview for it, but he at least takes the time to point out that under her the employees got paid and got paid on time, which TSR had a problem with before her.

Turns out it was a modem from my isp. No idea why they sent me one.

I came home from groceries to a door tag that they left because I needed to be present for a delivery I had no idea was coming or who from.
When looking up the tag number evidently neither did they.
Showed up the following Monday and they had no problem leaving it on the doorstep that time.
